Accommodation List for Participants

Most participants will stay at the conference centre which is in beautiful surroundings on the hill behind Ascona overlooking Lago Maggiore. The only remaining rooms at the conference centre are shared - the registration form has an option where you can specify a name of someone you wish to share with. About 50 participants could be accommodated in nearby hotels and these rooms should be reserved through the local organiser using the online registration form (prices of external hotels will vary.) >> See price lists below.

The total cost of local expenses (room/breakfast/lunch/dinner/coffee breaks/social events/lecture room etc) for those of you staying at the conference center is approximately 200chf/night. Those people staying in external hotels would need to still register and pay approximately 100chf/day which excludes breakfast and accommodation.

Lunch and dinner are three course meals with drinks and coffee included. The first meal is an evening meal on Sunday the 13th, and the last meal is the lunch on Friday the 18th. Note that there are 30 grants available for 1000chf each from AstroSim that can be used for European researchers towards travel and accommodation. You can request this on the registration form.

There is no registration fee for participants or accompanying persons.
